Didn't want any screws or holes in my boat. I did however screw all of the framework instead of gluing so I can make changes later if I don't like something about it. I put splits in the 90's homlding the rod holders and used hose clamps so they are 2 way adjustable. If spidering is my thing, I will rig up for it later, if not then I haven't lost much.

I know an older man in this area that spider rigs with the cut pvc screwed to a 2x4 that is clamped on each end to his gunnels. He catches a lot of fish, just easing around.

I felt the same way and still do to a certain extent. But I decided if I was going to catch fish on so many different waters year round I was going to have to be versatile. After doing it for a few years now, it's relaxing fishing and almost as fun as single pole jiggin.

Spider rigging puts ALOT of fish in the boat.....almost as many as longlining does.RoflRoflRofl ANything that will hold your rods and will keep you from loosing them will work. The fish wont mind how it looks on your boat eiher. I always preferred my rod tips to be even though. It makes it alot easier detecting some of those light bites. Give yours a try and let us know how well they work for ya.:p

I fish with a guy that refuses to buy or build him some rod holders. So he will lay them on the boat or wherever,i've saw him with a rod stuck in each shorts leg once.He dont want to admit he's trolling.Good luck with the rod holders.
