I had a friend fish White River from Jacksonport to Batesville last Saturday who got skunked on the crappie, and he's a pretty good river fisherman.
I've talked to some guys that have wore them out in the river
Thanks for they replys guys. I know there's crappie to be caught in it. Newport is the quickest i can get to the river and was just courious if anyone had fished the main river down in that area. Reckon the lower end of black river could be tried out also. Im gonna let the rivers get right an may drive down there a scope it out.

I fish the White at DesArc and the DesArc Bayou. I have not caught a Crappie this spring. The waters just wrong right now. At least for me it is. I do best when the waters low and clear.
