Deep Fried ........nice deal on the boat! Looks like fun.

I just started Crappie fishing in February. Really haven't spent alot of time fishing. I have been "creeping" here for 6 months or so. I have really enjoyed the site and all the super friendly folks and very helpful information. I haven't been all that successful, but I learn a little more everyday. I have fished the pool ( Broke Ice all the way In) , Peckerwood, Clear Lake, and Plub Bayou.

My 12 year old son and I pulled a 68-70 model 14" Waco out of a barn in November for $ 100.00 with no plan except we were going to have a winter time project and start fishing in the spring. I will have to say , I had more fun and enjoyment working on this boat through Dec and Jan than anything I have ever done.

    Bought rough boat.........Stripped Painted
Built Front Deck, carpeted decke and removable floors. Two Hinged storage Compartments. Installed front Extension and Seat, Rod Holders and Short Rear extended seat post ( slide tracks) and Seat.
Bought Junk Trailer out of paper. Sanded, Painted, New Bunks, Built and Welded Side Guide Rails, New Jack, New Wiring and Light Kit, Built a Transom Saver and Painted.
Bought Cheap Trolling Motor Transom Mount ( Worked today on Mounting a different Trolling Motor on Front) and Bought Depth Finder.
Wired front to Rear, Swithed and fused , and lights.
Now for the best deal of all ........Someone gave this Electric Start Merc 25 with shifter on Handle. They had spent $900.oo trying to get it running. Over a year of trying to get repaired. One guys kept it several months and finally gave it back , he gave up. Anyway they were going to scrap it or something. Said I could have it if I got it running use it. Well after a couple of weekends and about 10 hours work, got lucky and landed on the problem. Runs Great.

Wanted to post some pictures......Good luck with your boat
