Default Tail up or down? pic

Is it best to have the tail of your grub facing up or down? I'm curious to see if different parts of the country have different opinions. Here a few picture with it done both ways.

Thanks in advance for your advice.

I'd be interested in both the weedless jigs and the other jigs shown. Where can I get some of those?
My wife keeps saying I never listen to her....... or something like that!

I prefer them tail up, they catch more water tail up and they can be retrieved at a slower speed. On a grub, with a weighted lead head the tend to be somewhat nose heavy when they come through the water, so if it is tail up, it will catch more water and allow for slower retrieves with the same action as a fast retrieve.
You can't beat the taste of them ole fried SLABS N TATERS!!

Crappie are like alot of women, some days they like their hair up and some days down.
I like running with tail up,the only thing I have againest tail up is sometimes the tail will hang on the hook point or in the bend of the hook.If I have to throw into heavy cover I go with a slider and slider hook.I do not like weed guards,I know they are great for some people but I think they inter fear with my way of fishing.
