    Default The Pool Is Crowded!

I have been fishing wilamena cove for several years and I belive this is the crowded as I have seen. It's to the point it is miserable to even go! Either guys are putting "fences" up with spare poles to keep you as far as possible from them (Don in the white ranger) or they literally run into your boat! Are you kidding me? We went to Some different water this week end just to get away! There has got to be more holes in that lake and I aim to spend more time looking around. Anyways I wanted to whine for a little while and would like to hear some of you alls thoughts.

If you should get rammed again, take pictures, especially of the hull number, and call AGAF.
If you're too busy to go fishing, you're too busy!

If they need to put out poles to keep folks back someone must be too close!

For those who are not familiar with the pool... One man with 2 poles can block 1/4 of the pool...

I don't know about y'all buy I've been fishing the pool for many years, and yes it's gotten more crowded but a lil respect and common courtisy goes along ways. I don't mind if I'm catching fish if somebody wants to join me as long as they wart me out the hole. I rather enjoy the bsing. But no I don't agree wit the boat ramming. Cause I think they might have wound up like a crappie and hooked in the lips.

I just love the guys that can cast a cork 500yards. About 9 / 10 years ago, I took a week off in October to fish the cove. The second day, an old man actually tied up to me with his 2 man buggy. Said he saw me the day before and he just wanted a buddy. We fished that way the whole week. I have always wondered what become of him.

I have been fishing the pool since the weeks after they broke the levy and made it one with lake Conway, and you are correct it is miserable to go up there and fish anymore, but it was not that way until the crappie.com forum started covering it with publicity, as with any hot spot, if you advertise it, it will get covered up and fished to death. Don't get me wrong, I love the crappie.com forum but it has led to the colapse of many of good fishing spots. The pool has really been worked over since crappie.com has been made popilar

    Default Crowded

I ahve not been back since last year due to the crowding. People hitting my boat with their lures is not a good may to make a new buddy.

I could not agree more. Just like Caney creek and 89 bridge ,the more you tell the less places you have to fish.

Your going to T me off if you ram my boat on purpose b/c I'm not going to give you a chance to do so.If I'm catching and see someone coming my way to fish that spot I move on down the lake.I feel sorry for that type fisherman and his sportsman thinking ways besides If I move on away from them I didn't haveta tell them what color and how when they ask.
