Hey slabs i like that idea, it seems to have a good base, good cover, not as apt to hang up on in too easily...between my 9 stake beds your pvc structure, all the brush kevs gonna bring , and what ever else the other folks bring the pool will soon be the quite the crappie hole..

I would put a block at both ends and fix them so that the big PVC is off the bottom. Laying on bottom may loose so of its effectiveness, I also would tie 20oz bottles to it to keep up, up.

I know the way you have it now it will do that.

When I do a pvc tree, I can put it in 30ft water, 10ft rope to bottom of 10ft tall tree with bottle tied to top. I am now fishing in 10 to 20ft of water. I make mine with a 10ft 4" trunk and 10ft 3/4" limbs. Or if I do like you did, I take the limbs all the way through.

But I don't thing you can make one wrong. As long as you just make it.

Yes nofish, it wont be long and the pool will be fixed up right with cover. then we wont know which structure to fish, but i got a answer for that to, just move from one to the other, one of them is bound to be a hotspot one any givin day.

Slipcork i actuully thought about doing that, but as you know the pool up there at gold creek is not very deep 10 feet at the deepest, the limbs i put on there are anywhere from 3 to 4 feet long. if i suspend it off of the bottom i would have to go to a 2 foot limb. How ever i may go to a even 3 foot limb and put them on the pipe every where so that it sets up 3 feet off of bottom. I aint opposed to that idea at all. Thanks for the suggestions, i will keep them in mind. like i said at the beginning of this thread, this is my first PVC structure to build, so i am kinda behindthe curve a little. But with the good tips and suggestions i may be settin the curve before long. I have always just sunk hardwood brush.

i know you guys know more about this than i do but i read that if you sand or rough up the pvc it will start building up with alge much faster where as it may take 2 years if not roughed up and alge is what attracts minnows to the pvc.

Logging it with gps, no body will be able to find it unless they are there for the structure work, unless they stumble across it while fishing
