    Hey RCC,

Glad y'all had a successful trip. What part of the White did you fish? What set-up worked best for you?

I haven't been up there in a couple of years. I sure love the float though. If anybody has figured out a way to prepare them that is fitting, let me know.

Yeah, DP. It's too bad the dang things don't taste like crappie! I have fished for them for over 30 years and still haven't found a recipe that makes me lik'em. Sure are fun to catch, though, and the White River goes through what I believe is the prettiest part of this great state.

Best prepared like cooking a bowfin on the cedar plank.
Crappie bite twice a day. 15 minutes before I get there and 10 minutes after I leave.

I do have to say, the bacon was delicious and it really did bump my cholesterol back up to where it needed to be:D

We caught the most on a small bell sinker on the end of the line with a leader about 18inches long tied about 6 inches above the sinker. They bit the best on worms and corn.

Location was about 1.5 miles south of Bull Shoals dam north of Gastons. The guy we rented from told us when we got there that his place was the best fishing on the river and I don't doubt it at all. Several of the guides were fishing his dock when we weren't on it, but they did give us a little space while we were fishing ourselves. All were rainbows except for 2 browns.

Again thanks to all on this board for helping us to be equipped for trout fishing.

Thanks for the reply, RCC. Glad y'all had a good trip. I have fished that stretch of the river and you are right, it's a great spot. Wish I had a friend that had a house on the river with a boat dock!:D

This was a rental property. The people were some of the nicest people I've ever met. They only have one rental and it is in their front yard. Here are a few more pics

    Hey RCC,

What's the name of the owner of that place. Sure looks good. Are the guests allowed to park their boat in that boat stall? Looks like a place I might want to take the wife sometime. If you can give me a name or number I'll give them a call. Many thanks.
