I'd probably go with 10 50 lb. bags. Want to be sure and have enough, know what I'm sayin'?:D

Anyone got any tips on catching a trout out of the white river? The wife and I are going to try to catch one toward the weekend. I've heard chumming with corn will help, so I'm stopping by the co-op and pickup up 5 50lb bags
Any tips would be appreciated.

My wife keeps saying I never listen to her....... or something like that!
dont screw up a prop and use a carolina rig with an 1/8th oz weight and a 2lb or 4lb flouro leader. use powerbait or redworms. motor up to the base of any major shoals throw out and let you and your boat and your bait drift back down.. grass beds are never much good and really annoying. pea gravel bottom is never to great either. look for big rocks preferably deep. feel free to ask questions. ive fished the first 55 miles of the white.

I was told years ago you cann't do that, chum corn, not sure if it still applies today.
And don't think its corn from the feed store, whole kennel in the can...
RCC, Use a Light wire blue mustad #8 or #6 hook, or just about any small hook will do ( No Long Shank Hook) go to Walmart and look for a power bait called Fi-Yellow, they will come in a little jar and r little round balls connected like a sausage links. Tear two or three of these off and thread that little hook through the balls where they are stright and natural looking on the hook. Use a light low vis line 4lb test line<<very Important. Use a Carolina rig like river slab suggest or just put a split shot on. Here is a good rule of thumb that applys just about anywhere (High river) more wieght and longer leader, (Low River) Lighter wieght and shorter leader. I also like the orange Power bait balls on cloudy days. Take you some night crawlers and try pinching off about an inch of a worm and thread it right behind just one power bait ball or fish a half a night crawler by it's self (Dont Ball the worm up on the hook). Canned Corn on a hook is a good bait too and cumming canned corn is legal in non-special regulation areas. Make sure you read your reg book cos them Game Wardens work those trout rivers, trust me on that. Hope this help's and good luck catch a rainbow for me LOL

Better check the regulations for your fishing destination. That could save you money and embaressment of a violation.
