Hmmm..... I agree on the Mississippi part, but never paid any attention to lakes not affected by the Mississippi. I guess the only way to prove it is to go fishing as much as possible......

In my 50 years of fishing I have found that whenever the Mississippi River is on a rise it shuts them down even on oxbows not connected to the river. Sounds impossible but it seems true

Is there any way of checking the weather history? We may have had high pressure on Monday. I think we had a front to come through midnight Sunday into Monday.
