    Smile Storms again

While I am sitting in my truck waiting for the rain and
the storms to break so I can go back fishing again
I thought I might share some info with anyone
interested, I am at lake Conway, bass ain't doing much
but the bluegill are bedded up, been here since noon,
nearly got my limit, they are better than average size for
bluegill. They make awesome table fare as well. I have
located numerous bream beds that are heavily populated.
I found them while bass fishing with a plastic worm, bream
really like to peck the tail of plastic worms. That did it for me
I put the bass rods up and got me a bucket of crickets, and
my long crappie rods that I could cast and headed to get them.
If you have a wife or kids who like to fish and you need some
fast paced action to keep them interested, nows the time to
get them to Conway for some bream fishing.

It finally rained a bit in Little Rock.

I was building a potting bench for the wife this afternoon, resawing, using the chop saw, my Kreg jig and some battery powered drills. Every time I got the table saw out, it would start to piddle, so I put the saw away and it would stop.

Did this about 4 times before I said the heck with it. I should have gone fishing today, but I wanted to get this done. I've got too much junk in the garage as it is, so getting some scrap lumber out of my way and turned into something useful felt good.

I'm glad you got some bream. I really like to fish for what is biting. If the crappie don't cooperate, I'll chase bream. If neither of them cooperate, I'll chase my tail. If that don't work, I quit. I hate fishing for green carp.:D:D

Well, I can't say that I blame you for wanting some of the debris out of your way, but I have a philosophy, if I plant it, it had better be edible, flowers serve no purpose to me.

Well, I'm sorta the same way, but I don't garden much anymore. I do however enjoy making expensive sawdust and recycled sawdust. I have some old cedar pickets that have more character than a church going cowboy. I was gonna make bird feeders, but decided the birds could get jobs instead. :D:D

They will make up the top of this new bench.

You betcha can, they put off a odor that is real fishy smelling. it just hangs in the air around bream beds, when you smell that smell there is no mistaking it. And usually the fish it the bed will bite anything you throw in there.

My nose isn't that good, but my wife can smell bream beds really well. She can track them like a dog tracks deer. I've always wondered if you could train a dog to locate bream beds; if they can smell cadavers, surely they could do that. If my lab could learn to do it, at least I wouldn't have to bait her hook:D.
