    Default optima battery


    Is there a specific type of charger that needs to be used for charging Optima batteries?
    Since they are AGM batteries, I didn't know if a standard battery charger would work.

    Nothing special according to their website.

    Optima Battery Optimum Deep Cycle Batteries Car Audio Marine FAQ8

    OPTIMA batteries are very expensive. Are they that much better than Wal-Mart deep cycle?

    I've had both..... You definitely get what you pay for!!! Get Optima and forget about worrying about battery power.... They are bulletproof!

    I hope you're correct. I just bought 3 blue top marine batteries. I'll be buying dead minnows and eating bread and drinking water for a while!!

    what size are you running Steve...the D34M or the larger D31M and where do you usually get yours...I know Advance had them but they are closed...I think you can order them from Auto Zone but they don't seem to have the blue tops in stock

    I use the D34's. I had bought mine at Advance but the site Bill put on here has the lowest prices I've seen.
