Steve and TJ.........Check out the specs on this Sears battery. It looks to be a good deal more battery for about the same money as the Optima. The 31M that is.

Check with Bill Burnett @ Big River Marine in West Memphis. He says he will beat any advertised price on Optima. He is a xpress and Optima dealer.

Is this an AGM battery? I couldn't tell from the info on the link.

I've got the Cabela's AGM batteries and have been very happy so far.

Yes.. It says it's a glass mat construction to allow multi position mounting. I priced Optima on this link and they were less money than if Cabela's ships them to anywhere. I figure Sears will be taxed so Optima will probably be the best buy but not the biggest AGM battery.

But even when you look at the specs for the 34M, the Sears battery appears to have more reserve capacity, AH capacity and CCA and Ca, etc, compared to the D34M Optima and a 36 month free replacement warranty for about the same money, disregarding sales tax. Both have more reserve than Cabela's but all are good batteries.
