Yes, and it's all your fault, lol. I LOVE IT. I now have the best of both worlds for trolling and hovering. Of course, I use the unit to it's fullest when trolling and the new I-pilot will make it even better and just maybe it will help with hovering too. But to hover with what I have now I cut a piece of PVC in halves as a bushing so the unit doesn't lock in to the directional motor and that makes it a hand control.

I am excited about all the I-piot's features for trolling, but I think the hover feature will help when fishing condos and I'm hoping all I have to do is override it to control the boat's position if the wind blows my aft around or if I want to move forward, etc. on the pile and the unit will do the rest. I'm also thinking I might be able to completely eliminate the foot control pad and just use the remote control. If so, I can then even control the boat and hold steady when I run to the back to net a fish instead of getting blown off the spot and working to get back to the strike zone.

One thing I did learn from Lance Mansfield at Grizzly (their TM mechanic) is that the PowerDrive V2 with I-pilot doesn't shut off when the TM is stowed like the Terrova does. So, don't forget to disconnect the power cable at the end of the day when you plug your boat up to charge the batteries and carry extra batteries for your remote just in case.

It's been a long, tough winter for me. I'm in need of posting some good pictures to fill the calendar. So, come on and we'll go fishing.
