Thanks for sharing such a good idea. I am planning on building some to drop in one of the lakes I fish.

Where do you get the bamboo?

I'm assuming you can pick it up cheaper than PVC?

I'm definitely going to do this! Thanks for the idea! Just a couple of questions - typically how long of boo shoots do you use if you're dropping them in 12ft of water? Would you want them sticking up at least 8ft off the bottom? And do you typically drop them in singles or do three or four together? Ok.. maybe three questions Do you leave all the small branches at the top or trim the stalks bare?

    Thanks for the tip!

I try to drop mine so that the top of the boo is at half the depth. For instance if it's 12ft deep drop 6ft boo. Not saying that's the best way,but it works for me.I don't trim any limbs off, the more the limbs the better IMO. My self I drop 4 buckets per spot.Good fishin 2ya.....

Filling a bucket up with mud and boo would probably cover a larger area. I am gonna try and use your idea for shallower spots and sink the larger ones in deeper areas. Love the ideas keep um coming! My new years resolution is to put something in the water to fish around
Try one of these in shallow water. You can lay long bamboo in bundles.
