    Default Reel Work

Does anyone know of a good reel guy in central AR? I have an ambassador bait caster that screams when you cast it. I just bought a bunch of rod and reels from a friend who was in a pinch and needed some money.

I've not used them but there is Ark. Rod & Reel in Little Rock at
    501-224-6160. Maybe this will help.

+1 on AR and Rod and Reel. They do a brisk business and do good work.

Your bearings are dry. Sometimes you can cure this without taking the reel apart. Unscrew your cast control knob on the left side of the reel, then put a drop or two of good reel or clock oil in. DO NOT use WD40!!!!!
Then do the same on the other side. Turn the reel upside down and put several drops on screw that moves the line guide back and forth. That should solve it.

I have had good luck droping mine off at Trader Bill's in Hot Springs. They tag it and put it in a box, then some feller picks them up repairs or cleans them and returns them to Trader Bill's. Alway's been a reasonable turn around.

Ar Rod And Reel does a great job and has most parts if they are needed.
