    Default Thin White Stuff

I dont know about the rest of you fellows, but when I looked out the window about 6:00am this morning everything up in these hills was white. This was our first one this year, and it was a good one. This should make them old mossey horns stir and maby a barn door crappie.
If the good Lord is willing and the creeks dont rise I'll catch a slab today.

yeah I thought I had white carpet instead of blue this morning.

While fishing today I watched a buck chase a doe back and forward back and forward down the bank.I'm not a hunter anymore but do think the rut has started.

I have heard rumors of bucks chasing does already, but I think there just harassing them. I have been in the woods some instead of on the water. We are starting to find scrapes around the house, it won't be long.

I love the first frost every year. It kills the ragweed blooms thus ending my seasonal allergies.

My oldest son saw 6 different bucks yesterday afternoon while deer hunting. He thought he was seeing prerut activity, not the real thing. He saw at least 2 of them fighting.

We didn't get the "thin white stuff" until this AM...but there was plenty in East Tn today.
