Was another Limit day at Gold Creek today....well make that 19 and 3 big bream that made it home. But let go about 20 crappie that were on the smallesh side. Had some unwanted fights with those pesky yellow bass too...those little scrappers sure can tear up some jigs quick... Same pattern as yesterday.... in the pond 8 fow and some in the lilly pads at the edges. Chartuse tube with specks...1/8oz head in red... tipped with Yellow crappie nibbles under a cork on the slow retrive, with a 10' b & m rod. Low and Slow...Had to really work though...the wind played havoc most of the day. Water is back down to normal after all that rain last week. And the water temp was in the upper 50's to low 60's by afternoon.
Saw a crazy site... when 2 Bald Eagles, with about 5' wing spans, were fighting over the pond swooping to and fro and one getting vocal about the whole fracus in a loud manner..was quite a seen there for a minute or two.
Glad to hear they are turned on at Conway. Being that the creek is so shallow and cooling faster, my lakes should start producing soon.
