It may be less biting bugs, but I was in the military stationed in Maryland and Colorado---to much snow.

I was born in Texas and have basically lived my life in Texas and Arkansas, so this is my home that I have not spent a lot of time in neither due to 43 years in government employment , plus the military.

To me it is nice to be back home and I do love fishing

While we are commenting on north and south, does anyone know why Arkansas has a split crappie limit? Are we just better fishermen up north? (J/K). I have always thought that we probabley have more people farther north in the state and there is more water with higher populations of fish the father south you go in our state. But I would be interested to know the right reason.

Some states do not permit minnows, so they can prevent the take over of the carp and other non game fish. Military bases are like that.

We allow an Asian bream to be used as bait, but I understand they do not live to long and they do get about as big as bream.

Misplaced Arkie here, what's a "split crappie limit"? I've came up with a couple of answers, but, still don't know? Haven't been back to fish since '81, so I know I've missed a lot.
