If it's like here after a fast rise fishing won't be good. When it settles after a big rise the fish go to bankline cover (trees and brush). Here the water is rising too fast, Nimrod has rose about 15' and still rising.![]()

Looks like I may get to go Saturday morning. I like to fish up either middle fork or devils fork on greers but I figure both will be to muddy. I think I'm gonna try the few brush piles I know of around edgemont bridge out in the main part of the lake, I do not know of much brush. Is there a map or link of some sort that tells about brush piles in Greers Ferry? Do my plans sound about right after the rain? Any thoughts/ideas would be much appreciated.

I cannot believe Nimrod has rose that much just this week. We have had a lot of rain. I have heard that one inch of rain around greers ferry will bring the lake up a foot. I plan on checking lake levels before I go. I don't get to fish enough, so I am jumping at the opportunity to go this weekend, even though conditions aren't idea. Cant learn sitting at home!!

Greer's is 2'+ since the rain started as of 9-17-09. The whole lake may be muddy by tomorrow.

Greer's will be a good place to go Sat. This morning (9-18=09) Greer is only up 1 ft.

KJV Numbers 32:23 " be sure your sin will find you out."
CreekSlick had it right, the lake has raised two (2) feet since first of week. I know that doesn't sound like a lot, but consider the vast area that is covered in water and you wind up with a bucketfull or two. Nimrod does rise fast because it it contained and doesn't have any area to spread out in. All this water will be good when it is all said and done, that is if the fish dont drown. Lets just hope they can come to the top to get air...:D:D
If the good Lord is willing and the creeks dont rise I'll catch a slab today.
Went to Greers this afternoon and it is up but not muddy. Started a little before 5 PM and stopped at 7PM with a limit of 10" fish. All on Bandit 300.

Went to Greers this morning, thought I was going by myself but wound up going with my Uncle, who is very secretive about his fish (he don't like other people to even see him catching them). I on the other hand am quite the opposite, but for my Uncles sake I won't say were we went. The water temp was around 70 degrees. Caught 12 this morning along with a few bass and a couple of bream. We were trolling rapalas. I have read a lot about bandits on this website, is there a place in the state were I can buy them? Also what colors are good on Greers? When and if I ever find my own spot I will be sure to tell ya'll were I'm catching them at.
