    Default Greetings..Another new member from Conway


    Hey all...just discovered this site last week and am enjoyin it. I have dropped my fishin' addiction for about the last 20 years...but I am taking it back up. Right now I am in the process of gearing up and studying. So this site is awesome. Just a couple questions..

    1. I grew up in Batesville (BHS '77), used to fish the White River there constantly. We caught a ton of fish. I go back regularly to visit family. How is the fishing on White River say from Lock 1 up to Lock 3 these days?
    2. Does anybody ever fish down the Arkansas River from ToadSuck? I've seen folks put in there....what can I expect down from the dam?

    I don't recall many river fisherman on here fishing those parts of either river. There sure are some fun sand bars about halfway between LR and Toad Suck. I do more toon boating on the river.

    I fish the White between Lock 1 and 2 some. You can catch fish but don't look for any wall hangers. Oh welcome to the site.

    Welcome to the site and good luck fishing the river....use to be a fellow by the name of Sam Dayer that caught a lot of crappie off the river....dont know if he is still with us or not, but if so he should be in conway phone book. You might give him a call.
    If the good Lord is willing and the creeks dont rise I'll catch a slab today.
