Glad your having a good year,it was like that last year around here, this year its a hole new ball game. Most of our oxbows are shallow, the wind has been averaging calm to 7/8 mph,not enough chop on the water to cool it off. With the bait sitting on bottom and barely move it just a little will get a strike but move to much your out of luck.
Its great to see other guys on the board post some out standing catches in other parts of the state when I cann't throw a hunderd dallor bill in the lake and buy a bite.I sometimes wonder if I know how to do anymore.I rig sliders weedless and throw into the brush and get its tail pulled off.The curly tails with crappie nib also gets its tail pulled off and leaves the crappie nib.Alot of times they'll hold on until you get them close to the boat and they'll let go,every disappointing to see a slab sink back down slowly.
We had a cool front come though last night so maybe just maybe our oxbows will pick up.
Would be the floods we had in the spring washed all our fish down into Ms.,lol.
