    Smile managed couple hrs today on erling


    Managed to get in a couple of hours today on lake erling between thunder bumpers caught 6 crappie on tops in 8 to 10 ft water about 5 ft deep no size to fish but really happy to catch a few on tops that have not been productive so far this summer caught fish on platic jig clear with metal flake maybe business will be picking up.

    I sure do hope that business is about to pick up. I'm in south Louisiana this week preaching a revival in a church just east of Baton Rouge, but when I get home to Cotton Valley I just may ride up to Erling and give those those white perch a try. Even if the fish aren't biting it will be nice to get out and enjoy the Lord's creation.

    Hey Noslab, Let us know when the action picks up in the creek, Blackwells area. I need to learn more about main lake area. Years ago I fished for bass out of Cannons.
