    Default Pulling Crankbaits

If any of you guys that have been pulling cranks on Greer's think we have it good here you need to go over to Sardis Ms and fish Sardis Lake. I fish the fruitjar turnt they had Saturday and it is great. I trolled Thursday Friday and Saturday and did not get hung the first time.:D We had 70 keepers all over 12 1/4". Probally had another 100 throw back. Sure is hard to throw back a 11 3/4 crappie I did not place in the money at the tourny 9+ lbs won it and we had just under 8lbs in 8th place. But a 1lb + average for 7 fish is a good day.

I was there at Sardis to, we had a terrible day fishing. We spider rigged the hold time using minnows. I think we came in 11th place.
We [John Woods] and I fished hard, and had trouble getting them to stay on the hook, we lost several nice one's at the boat...
John pre-fished friday and he did good on the size, and said we would had won with fridays fish, oh well that's fishing.
If I can sell my cabin at Pickwick Lake, I'll be moving to Cherokee Village, Ar.
We made a offer on a house there and they excepted our offer. I can't wait to get over there, it's a nice area of the country.

Cherokee Village is nice and is less than 50 miles north of Creekslick, Rockmike, and I. Hope you enjoy it. By the way there is some pretty good crappie fishing on some of the lakes at Cherokee, and you are not that far from Norfork. Also Spring River from Many Islands down has some great bass and walleye fishing and good trout fishing above it.

Thanks for that information. I did take a ride on a pontoon on Omaha lake[sp]
there and I was watching the fish finder, and I seen lots of hydrilla [sp] grass growing very high in the water.
I didn't see alot of fish, but did see some people fishing with minnows and poles, so I know they are there.
I tried to adjust the ff to see the thermocline but it was a little cheap ff and I couldn't adjust it enough to show the thermocile, I think the water temp was about 84 deg.
I can't wait to get to fishing there, I don't know nothing about the trout fishing, but I'm going to get me some waders and get after them.

I am going to wear some Bandits out this long weekend. We are headed out to Quachita on our annual camping trip. I have about $200 invested. Everytime I passed them in Acadamy I would pick out two or three. The wife wants to know just who in the !@#$ CreekSlick is for getting me interested in Bandits.

    Hey John,
We will be somewhere west of 9 and 10. I have a Premier toon boat and a stick steer Tracker. It will be the messiest island out there with 4 grandkids.
Stop by if you are out that way.

...I'll see if I can find you. I've not fished that area of the lake in a good while but I know that a buddy of mine is trollin' black salties around point 4 and doing well early in the morning for stripers. I don't striper fish in the summer, myself.

I have a Sweetwater maroon and beige 21' rig. Maybe we can have us a coca-cola or some ice water.

I lost two bandits the last ten days, but caught eight LM this morning (and not ONE bless-ed crappie), the two largest weighed 3 pounds. I gotta restock fer sur.
