    I forgot to tell you what some of us catch the trout on. Small bits of cocktail shrimp. We buy them from Walmart in small bags. We also use small long shank bream hooks under a small lead shot, and a small float. Cast up stream and let it float down stream. It works for us...good luck.

    Yep, we've used an array of baits in the past. Have used red worms and caught those little brown sucker looking fish. Cut small fillets from them for bait, always seemed the best bait. On rivers below the dam that generate you'll see pieces of fish that went through, the trout are all over them.
