    If it is under warranty I'd call minn Kota and see what they say, have you had the motor more than a year, I'd think they would at least have a year warranty, they might even send you a new one

    I know someone who took a trolling motor to pine bluff twice and it never got fixed right, rebuilt it the first time and forgot to install the seals , first time in the water guess what happened, fixed that problem , next time to the lake , prop wouldn't turn, it was over thigtened and when you put it in the water it wouldn't turn, not so sure about lettin him work on something he hasn't touched before , if ha know what I mean!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    If you want it to be a warranty item you better call Minnkota and take it to an authorized dealer repair facility. There may be more but I only remember Minnkota telling me about nife marine and another dealer in mountain home. I took my demonic possessed terrova to nife marine before the warranty went out but they determined that rapidly dropping voltage from questionable batteries may be contributing to the problem. By the time I got the batteries replaced, determined the problem still existed and was able to get it back to Sherwood it was out of warranty but Gary said Minnkota would take care of it. He'd also said he'd had no idea what was wrong with it but Minnkota would. They replaced the whole head and the remote control for free under warranty. FYI

    Call these folks just south of little rock. Authorized dealer and all around good guy. Also a board sponsor. Bet he can tell you what to do or get it fixed for you.

    I have called minn kota all day yesterday and not one time did the phone ring. Was busy the whole time. I emailed them. Was immediately sent an email back saying that it could take up to 2 business days for them to respond. My fishing post of piks are about to dramatically decrease cuz I aint gonna get to go. I will check into ur guy as well cray. Thanx fellas

    Motor is officially fixed! Mr Wayne at trolling motor shop in pine bluff had it up and running in no time! And he taught me alot about them too! He said he wasn't familiar with them....well he looked like he knew exactly what he was doing. He went straight to the problem (tooth missing on the belt). Was caught in the pulley system. But not anymore! Thanx guys!
