Wondering what types of things you use it for? Right now I have a 7' St. Croix Avid UL-F, but it's always been kind of whippy for my taste. Targeting Bluegills and crappies in local small lakes. Nothing huge, usually with 1/16oz jigs and plastics or little beetle spins, etc. Do you think the "light" designation of this rod would be a good fit? Thanks for your time!
Hi, Vector, although I haven't really caught any fish with the Soare S510L-S yet, especially bluegill and green sunfish, it was purchased as a hybrid ( saltwater/freshwater) type rod. But yes, this rod will be great for what you want it for (not whippy at all) and will bend beautifully to half pound fish when hooked. The photo showed the bend all the way to first guide with 6.2 oz reel attached. Hope this shed some light. There's a good YT review of Soare XR rods by an angler i_fish channel. Thanks for stopping by!

Welcome Vector. Glad to have you aboard. I’ve bought a few rods after reading what the others here have posted with no regrets. Whichever one you choose, have fun and keep us posted. I for one like to hear of the learning curve others are going through. I’ve just acquired an Eradicator and it’s everything folks say they are. Looking forward to your posts…..Tim
