Thread: Berkley gulp....?

I do well with gulp alive minnows - 1 inch for bluegill and the larger sizes for crappie. Been fishing the Cheb rig past few trips. It has been landing fish. I am using Varivas inch hook and have recently purchased ryugi hoobit hook in size 8. Have not had any issues with it and work it pretty much the same way as a jighead. Would love to bounce it off the bottom but there is too much of moss / grass on the bottom right now and it covers the rig in no time. Might do that in the late fall once the bottom is cleaner.
