If I try casting to hard I end up with a mess from the line bunching at the first guide. I tried it today with a 1.5g jig the distance was better, (same as I was getting with a .5g using Lemoni) I still have to be careful about overcasting. I might try puttting it on a different reel to see if that changes anything.
It was raining today so I spent a good bit of time just puttering around in the garage with fishing stuff. I put the 0.6PE doublecross line on a spare 1000S Legalis spool today. Tried it on an old shakesphere rod with larger guide and a 3g spoon, didn't have any issues with the line that I had previously. Worked my way down to a 1g jig and TM. Moved the reel to the Carabus extreme and repeated the same stuff with no problems. Casting distance wasn't very good with the 1g jig and TM.

Now I'm not sure if the issue was the reel or an issue with how I put the line on the first reel. The line seemed to want to jump off the Beast reel. I should have tried untwisting the line in the yard before I gave up on the line reel combo.
