PS: I am serious about riding up with my boat one day to Nickajack to fish my Alweld alongside the TM boat, see what the PLS can spot in the dead lock, and if I can yank any TN fish out with my hand-ties on the Limbertip. PS the WB run has been late here as well, just starting by reports in the Coosa, and already heating up hard down south. I can be there in 2 hours if you care to send a PM. I'll see if Scott wants to go, but he's a busy man, unlike me - unemployed and fancy-free!
Early April is probably best time in the spring for the dead lock. Of course late fall is great there also. I’m sure you could wear out the crappie that get down in the grates that I am not sure the HB can see. I will keep you posted as to when the fish show up. Was down there the other day and nothing....not a hit. TWRA has outdone themselves with the stocking on the Duck River this year. I think they have released about 18,000 up to this week. The biggest surprise is the number of brood trout they have put in...has to be in the hundreds. By late May these trout will have big bellies on them. The crawfish are out from there winter nap...or whatever the proper term is.....and the bottom of the river is covered in them. Will keep you posted...would love to meet up with you there.
