If regulations allow. I run up to 8 off the front 4 on right side 4 on left. Also run up to 8 out the back if someone is with me according to how well the person listens or if they are a trained longlinner . I use 14’,12’,10’,8’, on each side of the front and 12’,10’,8’,6’, out the back on each side to start with . When running that many if you get into a lot of fish you will have to put some up . When I first started I used what I had. Just old el Cheops and caught lots of fish But the longer rods have their advantages. And I’m just now getting into spider rigging. I’m going to use my 14’ rods for rigging . I have some of the pinnacle limit rods that I really like and you can get those without breaking the bank .
