I would recommend Bobby garland on the soft plastics They hold up well shooting docks. I mainly us hand ties I make on two lb, but when the wind is two strong and I can’t detect the bite I’ll change poles and shoot with them. Due to the fact they are around twice as heavy as my hand ties, that little bit of a weight different makes all the world in my opinion, let’s me detect the bite much better in the wind. Try a 1/32 and if your having problems detecting the bite switch to a 1/28 or even a 1/16 and hold you rod tip higher then normal and you can cover the same depth and speed at witch the 1/32 does. It may take a little time to pick it up but when you do, you’ll be amazed by what you can make the jig do.
