Is that really Swancott or is that the Chevron station off of Greenbrier up near I-565?

When I fish lower Wheeler or Shoals area on Wilson I have two choices The Minnow Bucket on Hwy 72 just past Rogersville. They keep minnows in the fall/winter by the dozen and also have breakfast. There is a really good live bait shop just south of Hwy 72 on Hwy 101. They sale 3 different sizes of Minnows by the lb. If they don't have it you probably don't need.

Does anyone know if the second gas station they built at the same spot on Swancott Rd carries bait/minnows? I've never been in the newer one. Or, do you know any other place on the Huntsville side of the river to get them? I live in Madison and work on Redstone Arsenal. I usually leave from one of those two places and fish from Limestone Bay to upriver toward Huntsville. There just aren't many places to get minnows in this area. I may have to resort to a cast net or buying "rosy reds" (which are just Tuffies with a recessive gene) from pet stores.
When you say huntsville side do you mean in Huntsville. If so busters bait and tackle of governors.

It's the same place. TECHNICALLY, the road north of 565 is Greenbrier and the road south of 565 is Swancott. But yes, it's Greenbrier exit.

About 7-8 miles north on Mooresville rd take a right on Huntsville Brownsferry rd a Chevron on the left. or take a left at Hsv Brownsferry and go about five miles just past Tanner crossroads there is a home business that sells all baits and bass gear in a shop in their back yard. you might be better served to just cross into Decatur.

The place in Tanner is just a few miles west on Huntsville Brownsferry Rd coming from Hey 31. It's just past the storage buildings on the right. They carry a good selection of Crappie jigs and plastics. They also have live minnows. I am not sure of the hours of operation. Bang-It-Jigs
