Default Heating up in the Deep South

The last little rise has fell out of the delta where I fish and I was able to get a couple of limits. Fished my home lake Monday and Tuesday 10 - 11 FOW and fish were biting 5 - 6 FD. Pushing jigs. Water stained to a little muddy which is normal for where I fish. They were eating a black/chartreuse curly tail hot grub the best. Way more short fish than kepers though. Good thing I wasn't using minners. Since I have quit using minners it's like I have been released from restriction.Name: IMG_1222.jpg

Size: 94.6 KB Going by reporting from other local fishermen many fish a little south east of me have already spawned but I don't think that is the case where I'm at. Water temperature was 63 Monday and 66 yesterday. All the fish I kept, except for 3 or 4, were female full of roe.

    Way to go Tony!!

By the way, I haven't bought a minnow in years and seemed to catch more fish without them.

Ditch, there was a boat slow trolling minnows right in the same area with me all morning and the caught half of what I did pushing those jigs. i haven't bought a minnow this year and now my confidence is where I don't think I will in the future.
