    Minnows are great sometimes, but I spend to much time trying to buy them, transport them and keep them alive, to say nothing of the cost. I believe when your jigging single pole or especially spider rigging the fish are reaction striking something that's attractive in color and shape.

    Nice work Tony, you can't always believed what you here. I had a guide tell me they have already spawned out a couple of weeks ago. And I just started catching the only bed Sunday.

    You can buy southern pro hot grubs just about anywhere. Academy has them, cabelas has them and all the catalog stores have them. I also use Monk's crappie.com for large orders. The catalog folks sell 25,50 and 100 packs, where as the stores only have small 10 packs.
