    Default Which lake?

Coming down early May to camp and crappie fish for a week. Debating between Guntersville and Weiss. We like to shoot docks and vertical jig. Not looking to come down and fill the deep freeze, I can do that here. But looking for advice on which lake would suit the way I want to fish more, and which has the better quality of fish. I'd rather catch 15 good fish than weed through 80 10" eaters.

Either lake will be about the same.................at post spawn given how the Spring water temps have gone , most of our Crappie will have dropped their eggs by then if they are going to lay at all . The best bet at that time of year would be Bluegill and Shell crackers bedding ,but again that will water temp dependent and just my worth opinion!

Weiss has more docks that hold fish. You might consider some other lakes too wedowee will be good that time of year. If you change your mind and go to wedowee pm me I'll help you out.

Guntersville has the better quality fish in my opinion. I'm like Snapperking, May is a little late to be coming to north Alabama. They say you can dock shoot year round though.

Thanks for the help so far, I"m not concerned with the spawn. I know I'm late for that.
