I shot docks and fished brush piles this morning with jigs. I caught the most fish suspended over brush in about 15 feet of water. Ended up with about thirty fish over 9 inches with a few close to a pound. I threw everything back because my freezer is full. All the fish looked fat from the shad they were chasing. No monsters but I sure had fun and there should be plenty of nice fish next spring from the look of things.

Welcome to cdc , great report I to think next year will be better on Neely Henry glad you're catching some in this heat. If you ever see a gray Lowe boat in Neely Henry it's probably me come say hi .

Great report and welcome to the site!
Thanks for the report and congrats on a good catch of summer crappie. I also have caught lots of small crappie on Neely Henry this year and hope we have a good population of keeper fish for the next few years.

Yes I've probably caught twice as many 7-8 inch fish as I have keepers this year. It's good to see stable numbers though.
Welcome aboard the C.C. cite! Great repot and awesome catch for this time of year.
