Thread: Kayak Trip Report, I-65 Slough

I use to bass fish and found out if it holds 24 inches of water year round then there's a 5 pound bass in it. I picked up the "ditch basser" by catching 7 pound bass in drainage ditch on my lunch break from work back in Georgia. Since I start chasing Crappie full time, I've found out it's the same!

Again, some of these holes don't hold huge numbers. It's just I'm the only one fishing them. If you know of a slough or backwater that no one is fishing and it's hard to get too. Believe me, it's worth the effort. If you won't want to try, PM me the location and I'll go!

Hey ditch. Would u be up to taking two newbies with you? We are just some single casters. We are planning on going Saturday morning somewhere. We want to venture out to new creeks but kinda worried cause we don't know much area besides Flint river.
