Forget the pictures!!!He probably had to many to fit in to HA , I just need Call to send me detailed pictures of where he was(grin) location, location, location, HAHA ....... I do agree it seems they are in cranking mode my buddy and I found some too cranking, also found 2 or 3 drum that were probably world records. What were you best colors Call? Pearly white and crawfish were ours.
Well, no pics as most of the fish were released. Dark colored baits worked best for me, black, purple, black/chart, bluegill, etc. Most were caught on 300's while I caught a few on 200's. Had 4 bass and 2 crappie on at the same time Saturday afternoon, it got kinda hectic.

Call, how fast are you pulling the cranks and what depth are you working? I was long lining this past weekend and managed 7 nice fish in 12 FOW, but the grass is starting to get awesome so I'd like to try some cranks in deeper water.
Typically around 1.8 mph. I was in 20-24' of water. The floating grass will get aggravating on Gville at times as it did this past weekend.

I was fishing shallower than Scott but still found them with cranks. Not as many as before but still enough for a meal or two. I also found lots of grass and pleasure boaters. Not sure which aggravates me more.

Scott, are you using 10 lbs test? Baitcasting vs spin cast reels? What length rods do you use and how many do you run when trolling cranks?
I use 8 rods, 10# test, all Baitcasters/line counters. A 16', 14', 10' and 6' off each side, all from the back. I will occasionally run a couple off the front (out the sides) with a 2 ounce weight. The way my holders are set up, there is more than 2' spread between them as the holder for the 16' is more toward the outside of the boat. I recommend a minimum of 4' spread.
