Picked up a new yak last weekend. I took it out for a quickie Sunday and I liked it a lot. It is very stable and very easy to stand and fish. The seat is super comfy and even though it is only raised a few inches it makes a huge difference! just need a longer paddle as the 220cm that I already had just isn't cutting it for such a large boat.

Contact callshy for some of his custom rod holders! You won't be sorry if you plan to spider rig.

Thanks for the replies! I plan on fishing the Fox/Mallard WMA Friday and Saturday. Im from Decatur so it's close to home. How much do those custom rod holders run and how do they mount?

I mounted my spider rig holders on a piece of treated 1x6 in the front of the cockpit, sculted em out where my feet rest against the board, not under it,,depth finder(not in pic) is mounted on center ram mount in front of holder array,,can reach it all easy,,,used J bolts to attach the 1x6 to 2 padeyes,,and 2 small turnbuckles and pieces of wire,,,so far so good,I am learning. Now just need some decent water color and lower winds,,,

Man that looks like fun, but afraid I am just to OLD for that.
