I'm a rookie still learning.. Fished mud creek for 3'days never caught a fish with big bellies (full of eggs) none of the fish showed spawning colors? Had a friend at church today who fishes just on the ga . Side he said the spawn is over? They were catching big fish all feb. as march rolled in size has dropped dramatically? This past week the fish were just hand size? I've heard that crappie spawn in one day and move back out ? I just don't know? I watch the trees? The ga red buds are two weeks behind blooming this time of year ,and have only a few trees are blooming. Thinking the spawn has been pushed back? I have a guide friend on Weiss who uses a plastic barrel sunk in his dock slip and pulls it up to check for eggs to see if it has eggs on it? To see where the fish are as far as spawning . Please give me your thoughts about where you think we are in the spawn? Thanks LB
