Default one of those days that make you love long lining!!!

If you long line you know what I mean. I fish with 6 poles and at one point this morning I had one pole in the rod holder, one in my hand, 4 laying on boat and 7 crappie flopping around my feet. An unbelievable fishing day today! Caught my first fish a 6:10 am and had my 30th fish at 7:45 am thats like a fish every 3.5 minutes. I think during that time I might have managed to get all my rods out 5 or 6 times. Most fish came two or three in a row. The pic is of the fish after I threw them on the floor of the boat to count them because I was catching them so fast I lost track. I stayed fishing until 11:00 and it was steady but did slow as the day went on. Morning bite all came on black and chartreuse and after sun was fully up lemon lime worked great. Water temp was 50 degrees and depth was 5 to 13 feet. speed was 1.0 to 1.2 in shallow water and .8 to .9 in the 10 to 13 ft range. fish moved deeper as the day went on. I have no idea how many I caught, but I'd guess in the 70 to 80 range. was on Logan Martin.

Wheres the rest of the reports. Come on alabama board, I know some of you were out fishing. STOP being crappie.com lurkers and post your results and pics. Name: photo-1.JPG

Going to Guntersville in two weeks for a week of fishing. I hope the fish are biting as well north of you. Should not be that much difference in water temps????????
