I have fished from big creek ( beside of elk river mills ) around the bridge and all the way to the back of sugar creek for the past 3 weeks with little to show for it ( 4 ) . There are plenty of shad on the drop off from the bridge up river to the island but no crappie. Caught a lot last year in these same places. Have not even caught the stripe or catfish this year ?
