Heard there was a lot of stripper in weiss. Would like to come up in the summer and give them a try (love grilled stripper steaks). Any advice, I don't know diddly about weiss, have never been there.

Broke, but not broken.
No cover... but there is a "3 pole limit"
I've never been to Weiss either Fret, but from what I hear it can be dangerous in the shallow flats (lots of stumps)... but the Stripers should be out in the open water by then and relating to schools of shad. Trolling for them and jump/sight fishing should be good. You can keep 30 any size and species on Weiss.
Here's some articles for trolling for Weiss Stripers.

I always catch a few spidder rigging around Riverside. The ones that I catch are around 5 pounds but they are fun on a 14' rod.
A 5 lb. Stripe is about the best size!!! I like to fillet them and cut out the lateral line (blood line) and they're as good as any white meat fish!:p
I hope the strippers in Centre are fat, ugly, and remind me of someone else's momma... because that my favorite kine!!!:p

There are plenty of stripers in Weiss. I like to fish live shad. Some fish with weights but I like to free line them. There are many places to catch them in deep water where there are no stumps, don't worrie about the 3 rod limit because if you are in them you wont have time but for 1 rod!! GOOD FISHING, Terry![]()
