one question comes to my mind, will they also penalize mississippi state because thats where the infraction initially came from
The way I understand it, is that State walked away and file a report on him (Cecil Newton).
So that cleared them from the get go.
But why Aubarn will get into trouble is that the rules clearly state if any member of the family ask for or gets any money, then the player is ineligible to play any NCAA sport anywhere.
But the way Aubarn got him cleared was by saying Cecil didn't take any money or agree to take any money from State. But to me and alot of other folks if you ask for money, you done agreed to take it to start with or you wouldn't ask for it. That is why I say it ain't over yet.
A whole lot of Lawyers working on this as I type :D you can bet on that :p
I don't think State is out of the woods yet. They've got 3 boosters admitting to discussing a pay for play plan on not one, but multiple occasions. How did Kenny Rogers know to ask Bill Bell and John Bond for money? If MS State knew for a fact this would render him ineligible then why did they continue to recruit him and why did they drag their feet getting the additional info to the investigators? State won't come out of this looking like snow white.
it still don't feel right with cam and the money!
