I haven't seen Hayden's or any of them really. 4 lb is a really nice slab.

Even right now though there are many fishing and getting small fish, or few fish and without forward facing sonar it's much more difficult to catch them right now in deeper water and schooled up in moving non-native state. Those fish I have been posting have been discovered too,and hundreds if not thousands have been removed from there and not a two pound fish in the bunch. I know that I posted about getting into the giants last year and that is ingrained in my mind. A little later when they start to come to shore is my favorite time. The limit here is 25 per day, 25 in possession and we have been trying to get this dropped to ten. Don't know what the answer is for resource management and I am concerned about it. 25 fish over 1.5 lb is a lot of fillets! All these fish will come in to spawn and they are mainly targeted by those who will take 25 home. I guess right now the resource can handle it and it may be beneficial to the size of the survivers, certainly wouldn't want to see a stunted overpopulation either. I am in the minority for sure though as far as targeting Crappie throughout the year here, most people who invest in a bass boat fish for bass almost exclusively and there i g again you have the few even among tournament anglers who are consistently catching giants in the 10-14# range!

Good luck getting limits dropped.. Minnycalifornia is finally dropping limits state wide on walleyes in 27, they’ve been fighting over it for years.
Minnesota walleye opener is a huge deal every May lots of economic impact, for the state. As for pan fish more and more lakes added every year with special limits, lots of them are 5x5 now…5 crappie, 5 Sunfish.

We stayed on our end of the lake today and we found bigger fish and lots of them! I have the long missed crappie tooth thumb. Caught several over two pounds but no three's today. no blizzard here either. Life is good. Name: 20260125_134858.jpg

Good fish Noodle. I’d like to break 3lb once but I really would put all of those desires on hold for a hot trip to Havasu and some two pound gills.
