Default Short trip to the pond

I tried to fish the town pond today .
I took a couple twitching rods with 2# Ande line and I needed a combo to fish a drop shot ,
The wind was blowing in from the wrong direction and even though the temperature warmed a little today it’s been below freezing each night.
The northeast corner of the pond is starting to freeze over some .
I did catch one small bass to keep the skunk off .

So that's what a lake looks like when it isn't frozen, been awhile since I've seen water like that. Nice catch in those conditions.

We’ve gotten into a pattern of below freezing temps at night here . From mid teens to upper 20’s . I’m afraid the pond is going to skim over with ice . That’ll put an end to my winter fishing until we thaw .
I have bigger reservoirs I could fish , but I don’t usually have much luck there as I believe most of the fish there are in deeper water out of my reach ,fishing from shore .
