Default APPEAL TO OUR MEMBERS AND LURKERS

Fellows this is a super family friendly sight. We even offer up some fishing advice as well as other advice. We accept most topics and you guys are great at

keeping on track and posting the right info. Our leader is a great guy, for the sight as well as in person. The kind of guy every Mother would be proud of.

The last couple months we lost some special members and as we are getting older, more will fall. For that and to keep this sight going, lurkers please join.

It's free and we want you. 2026 can be a record breaking year for adding members the sight. Members use this thread to post some nice things to say

about Crappie.com, to Ed(Slab) or offer up some ideas to help get more traffic on here. Time to brainstorm ideas for new posts and things to talk about.

Let's makeCrappie.com great again, so to speak. Remember we like pictures. I'll start by saying, Ed you are a man I wish to be more like. I pledge to start

fishing more and post more this year. Remember to keep up the good humor. Thanks fellows and ladies. "D"

    I joined around 1999-2000 ... and I'm still here. this place !!

Met a lot of great people from various different states, and got a lot of good info from all the discussions on the various forums. And I hope I've also "given out" good info.

As a certain local advertisement says, and I'm paraphrasing ...

If you don't join Crappie.com, you're just cheatin' yourself !!

I joined in 2018 the year after my father died. As a way to remember him and the times we shared I started fishing again but fishing the way i enjoyed the most which was crappie fishing. My dad loved bass fishing. My most enjoyable times weren’t the tournaments we fished it was when we’d come up to a brush pile full of crappie and we’d catch them. Through the years this place, the members and Ed have become like a second family as most say. One of my best memories was winning a BnM contest and winning two Buck’s Graphite Crappie Combos. My very second time taking them to the lake I caught my personal best crappie.

Man I was pumped. Over the years I’ve won some other really good contests from our amazing site sponsors. Can’t win if you don’t play. I’ve learned how to tie jigs, how and where best places to catch crappie. Techniques and tips I picked up from reading members post. Lots of good bits of knowledge if you read. I’ve also sent condolences and prayers for those lost, get well wishes and congrats where needed and happy birthday blessings to all. This site becomes a part of you if you let it. The members become second family and none of this would happen if it wasn’t for Slab (Ed) who set up and built the world’s best crappie fishing forum. My house has crappie merchandise from mugs to pocket knives, from shirts and hats to Slab Sauce. A good portion of which was the “extra” that Slab likes to send. The Slab Sauce, created by Slab and members, has helped catch me many when the fishing was tough. When I sit back and think of everything this site has brought me I’m blessed. We’re all blessed to be crappie brothers and sisters so this new year let’s try to remember that and help support this wonderful forum that’s here because of Slab.

Met some GREAT people thru this site over the years and we still get together. Heck 5 of us met last week for Happy Hour and dinner, would have been 6 but one had a cold. Only one of them I would have known without this site.

Our daughter is getting married in March and guess what a Life Long Friend I met on this site is their Wedding Officiant!

I could go on about many things already said. To cut to the chase, this is my second family. Since ‘07 I’ve been educated, befriended, visited, included in various outings and gatherings and much more. Now that I’ve retired and moved I find that this site has many friends that I’ve called that for many years. Ed runs the show with a steady, even hand. I’ve left sites that were much less friendly and even outwardly arrogant and angry- never found here. I carry a CDC business card that I give to new contacts that I meet in some unusual places. I’ve been bad sick a few times, months at a time, and folks that I’ve become friends with that I have never and will probably never meet contacted me on a regular basis to check on me and help raise my spirits. I can’t say enough about Ed and the site that has been a pleasant experience and I wouldn’t leave for any reason til I’m called home.

I have been here for a while, won some contests, caught crappie and otherwise benefited from this great site APPEAL TO OUR MEMBERS AND LURKERS. I am on the west coast and do feel a little distanced from the real close crappie community. Tight lines and God bless.

Been a Member on here for a bit, originally around 2012, went in the Hospital, had my laptop stollen, lost all sign-in but rejoined in 2017. Hadn't specifically targeted Crappie before hand, Just what ever would bite my hook. I have learned a lot since joining here. Won a few contests, Met some amazing folks, both in person, and through the site. Learn more every day . Recently met a super amazing Member and family that lives not far from me, who wanted to do something not only for a member, but one who was a Veteran...They "Gifted" a 20' Pontoon Boat, fully outfitted for fishing for Crappie, all that was required was to accept it. Would never have happened if it were not for Ed (Slab), and this wonderful, Family Friendly Site, crappie.com. Ed is onee of the Kindest People I know. So I ask, if you visit this site, seriously consider being a member, it's free, you won't regret it, I'm sure. Thank You Ed, and Thank You Everyone, every member, young and old, for being here, and a part of this family. Have a Blessed and Happy 2026.

Or even better you can click membership on the top banner and support a great person, great site and great people. This was a good reminder for me, mine had expired but I just completed my 2 Year membership! Thanks!!!!!!!

Slab supports his members and hope he don't mind me sharing but wife and I were in a serious motorcycle wreck in 2015 and this heck of a Man sent us a gift, didn't have to but just did.
