Well at least it was a cheap fix. My luck usually takes me down a rabbit-hole. lol Glad you got it. I'm a proud winner of several booby prizes.

Well, I am the new winner of the booby prize. It finally got nice enough outside and i had a few minutes, so I went to find out what was up. Had to uncover half of the boat to get to everything. Powered up and it instantly began turning. Now I started getting a better look at everything involved. Still hadn’t turned on the remote. I started pushing all the buttons on the pedal and found the oblong button on the top of the pedal had wedged under the left side of the hole it sits in. Took a screwdriver and inserted and twisted and the problems left. I know what to look for now. For a change, being dumb was cheap. Thanks for all the support guys.

skeetbum thanked you for this post
Skeet, I had the same issue with my Terrova about 2 years ago. Luckily I noticed it fairly quickly and got it unhung. Later in the day it happened again a few times so when I got home I ordered a new pedal. I still have the old pedal but it appears that once it's worn enough to get stuck, it's worn out and will inevitably occur again. Now that you've mentioned it, I'll pull the ole girl out and see if I can figure out a repair.

I finally remembered to dig out the old pedal and see if it could be repaired. I have pressed, mashed, squeezed, twisted, and even stomped it numerous times and now it won't stick. I'm going to put it back up as a spare but I'm not going to be able to advise on a repair when it won't act up now.....![]()
