Ms Joyce and I are House Hunting. Wanting to get away from this ZOO in this trailer park. New owners are selectively trying to run it as an HOA it's not. And Selectively enforcing rules. If you are a foreign national, not one of the said rules apply to you, do as you want, however, Caucasian, and a US Citizen, you better toe the line. It's turning this place into some place we don't want to be...
We are going to look at a place 1-1/2 hours from here in the country...House is a bit big for use, but plenty of room if and when we get family to come visit. Basemen, fireplace, attached carport, and detached garage, and plenty of room to put up a boat barn too!!! only 45 min. from the boat ramp at Ruark Recreation Area on Stockton Lake. the Ramp that the member who I got the pontoon used. Lots of good fishing in that area too!!! Will post more after we look at the house.
Best of luck.![]()

Thank you...Almost forgot, we haven't gotten the money yet from the Camp Lejeune Settlement, but am using my VA Home Loan entitlements. It don't make the payments, just $0.00 down, An other inspection to be done on the house, before the loan is approved. But as soon as that settlement hits the bank, this bad puppy will be paid off. Talked to my Lawyer on Monday and not sure if they blowin' smoke or what. Claimed the Judge handling Tier One cases, which the Kidney Cancer Cases fall under, wants this to be in court by the end of the year, this year. Sites we have suffered long enough. Hopefully soon and a payout by April...Praying it's soon....

Well, went and looked at the house yesterday as planned. Really like it. As with all houses, some things need doing. It needs a good power wash, the hedge along drive needs trimming, no big deal. a section of tin edging on soffit needs replacing, there's one tree in yard that's dead, and been dead a while that needs removal, a tree growing next to the garage needs removal...and the fuse panel needs replacing. It's a Federal Pacific Electric I think, and notorious for the breakers not kicking off and electrical fires starting. Current owner agreed to replace upon a signed contract for purchase. a few other things need done, but we want the house. I have some pic's on my phone I'll add in a bit...
Ok here are some of the pics...in the first picture you see the piece of soffit edge trim missing...

The second picture shows the tree, opposite side closest to the garage front, that needs removed.in the fifth picture, that love seat behind vacuum cleaner is actually blocking the front door...guess they figured they didn't need it as there are three other doors leading outside...,they called this "the mud room. There is a door to outside both to the left and right...??, in pic 8, it shows the pool that stays. It needs some work for sure, but probably salvagable...those bricks in the grass will leave as well. To me they are a twisted or broke ankle waiting to happen...gotta go.nice gas fireplace insert...Then there's the basement, half finished and then the unfinished. The finished is walled off from the unfinished side...and that's where my fly tying, bait making area is going, yeaaaa!. It will get finished eventually...In the finished part, or almost finished, I think someone thought used pallet wood would make a good wall material...not in my book, it's gonna go and be replaced with something else for sure...
It's not the greatest, most up to date, but with a bit of work, it will be transfered into a really nice place. Now we have to wait for inspections, them to repair what the inspectors find, and a few other odds and ends. Looking at late Febuary to maybe first of April time frame and we should be in it...woo hoo!!! Can't wait.
