    Default Wind Challenge

We lost this past Friday in the quarterfinal round of the playoffs, so I had Saturday off. I knew we had another front coming through with heavy rain on Sunday, so despite not getting to bed till 3 AM because of how far we had to travel for the game, I decided to head out late yesterday morning and see if I could find a few. They were extremely tight lipped; not sure if it was because the barometric pressure was so high or what, but I ended up finding some in about 7' of water. The problem was the wind was so bad, it was impossible to throw under a cork, and almost equally impossible to keep the boat still enough to vertical jig. All the places I tried to get out of the wind only had shallow water and no fish. I ended up lucking out on a few, probably caught about 15, but ended up keeping 7 to clean. Caught all of them by dropping the new 1.5" 6th Sense Friction shad in black/chartreuse, right over their heads on a 1/48 oz chartreuse bass pro jig head.
